2013 and 2014 were bumper years for Singapore's international concert scene. I was incredibly lucky to have seen Anberlin in both 2013 (as part of the Tonight Alive line-up) and in 2014 for their final show in Singapore before disbanding. I saw Yellowcard the same year. Nothing beats the experience of ending a night being surrounded by hundreds of people singing Ocean Avenue together and crying so hard. I also met Fall Out Boy for a meet and greet session (!) and even though I didn't get to see their concert that year, getting a hug from Pete Wentz has somewhat made up for it.
Eight years ago, I heard Copeland's music for the first time. Shortly after that, they announced they were going separate ways. I didn't think it would be possible to see them live ever again, until they announced Ixora. I finally had the chance to see Copeland on Tuesday. It was incredible by most standards of live performance. Copeland performed to an intimate audience size that night, and it was also one of the rare performances where the set list was based on the audience's requests (on the event page here).
